Veneers cost, Raleigh

What veneers cost here, and how the quote is built.

This page does not show a price per veneer, because a price per veneer is the wrong number: it tells you nothing about how many teeth, whether some of them should be bonding, whether whitening comes first, or what is included. Those are what decide what you pay.

What this page does is explain how the Larkspur quote is built, tooth by tooth, what the written plan lists, what is included and what is not, and how financing works. The range for your plan is given in writing at the consultation, before you decide anything.

  • A written plan with the fee for the whole smile, at the consultation
  • The smaller plan priced beside the larger one where there is one

What changes the price

Six things decide what veneers cost. Here they are.

How many teeth

The largest factor. Two teeth, the upper six, or the ten that show in a wide smile. The trial smile is how the number is found, and the plan lists each one.

Porcelain or bonding

A bonded edge costs a fraction of a veneer and may be the right answer for some of the teeth in the plan. The plan says which, tooth by tooth.

How much preparation

A no-prep case and a case with worn teeth that need building up are different amounts of work and of porcelain.

What comes first

Whitening, aligners or gum treatment before the veneers are separate lines, each with its own fee, each stated.

The trial smile

The wax plan, the mock-up and the week you wear it are part of every veneer plan here and are included in the fee, not added to it.

The ceramist

Hand-layered porcelain made on the bench by Anders costs more to make than a milled veneer from a block. It is the reason the shade matches in daylight. It is also a reason our veneers are not the cheapest in Raleigh, and we would rather say so here than at the desk.

The written plan

What is on the piece of paper.

One document, the same layout every time, written by Priya and checked by the dentist before it is handed over.

LineWhat it says
Each tooth The tooth, what is proposed for it (veneer, bonding, whitening, moving, nothing) and why, in a line.
The order and the visits Which step comes first and how many visits, with rough timing.
The smaller plan Where there is a smaller honest version (fewer teeth, bonding instead of porcelain), it is priced beside the larger one.
What is included The consultation, records, the wax plan, the trial smile and its adjustments, temporaries, the fitting, and the first maintenance visit.
What is not Treatment that comes first (gum care, whitening, aligners), a night guard, and repairs after the first year. Each is listed with its own fee so nothing arrives as a surprise.
The fee For the whole plan, in writing, with the deposit and the schedule of payments. Valid for a stated period.

Fees are not published on this site because they depend on the plan. The written plan is the number.

Paying for it

Financing and insurance, in plain words.

Paying over time

Third-party financing is available for larger plans, applied for at the desk, usually with a decision the same day. We do not name a lender here and we do not advertise a rate. Priya explains the current options with the plan in front of you.

Paying by stage

A plan with several steps is paid by step. You are never asked to pay for the veneers before the trial smile has been worn and approved.

Insurance

Cosmetic treatment is usually not covered by dental insurance. Where a tooth in the plan also needs restorative work, such as a cracked tooth that needs a crown, that part sometimes is. Priya checks before the plan is written and marks the line as an estimate, because plans decide after the fact.

What is not sold

There is no veneer special, no price per tooth, no countdown. If a plan is smaller than you expected, that is the plan.

The person

Priya writes the plan and answers the phone.

Priya Natarajan has been the treatment coordinator here since 2019. She sits in on the end of every consultation, writes the plan while you are still in the building, walks you through the fee and the financing, and hands it over before you leave. She answers the request form within one business day and is the voice when you call.

If a number on the plan does not match what you were told in the room, she is the person who fixes it.

Want a sense of scale before you book? Call. Priya cannot quote a smile over the phone, and will say so, but she can tell you what a consultation covers and what the plan will look like.

Where the plan is handed over

At the desk, on the day, not after a deposit.

The plan is handed to you at the end of the consultation in the reception. You take it home. Nothing is booked at the desk unless you ask, and the fee on it holds for the period stated so that you can think.

If you have a plan from somewhere else, bring it. We will tell you plainly where ours differs and why, tooth by tooth.

Before you book

Questions people ask about cost before they book.

Anything else, call (919) 555-0137. Priya answers.

How much do veneers cost in Raleigh?

It depends on how many teeth, whether some should be bonding, how much preparation is needed, and what comes first. A figure without those is a guess, which is why we do not publish one. The range for your plan is given in writing at the consultation.

Why do veneer prices vary so much between practices?

Who makes the porcelain and how (a milled block in-house, a laboratory in another state, or a ceramist layering by hand in the building), whether a trial smile is included or extra, how much is bundled into the fee, and how many teeth are being proposed. Two quotes for "veneers" are often quotes for different things. Bring the other one and we will compare them line by line.

Is the consultation free?

No, and we do not advertise one as free. The consultation is an hour with a dentist and ends with a written plan you can take anywhere. Its fee is stated when you book and is credited against the plan if you go ahead.

Does dental insurance cover veneers?

Usually not; veneers are cosmetic. A tooth that also needs restoring, such as a cracked tooth that needs a crown, is sometimes partly covered. Priya checks before the plan is written and marks that line as an estimate.

Do you offer financing for veneers?

Third-party financing is available for larger plans, applied for at the desk. We do not name a lender or advertise a rate on this site. Plans with several steps are also paid by step, and nothing for the veneers themselves is due until the trial smile has been worn and approved.
